ISO 46001 is a globally recognized standard for water efficiency management systems, covering water resource assessment, efficiency of use, environmental impact, and regional water risk management. As a key pillar of Huayou’s ESG management framework, the Quzhou operations have established a closed-loop, full life-cycle water management system encompassing water abstraction, usage, discharge, and reuse. A three-tier water-saving management structure—spanning the company, workshops, and equipment—has been put in place. Leveraging the Intelligent Energy Dispatch Center, Huayou has implemented real-time monitoring, dynamic alerts, and intelligent scheduling for key water consumption points, driving the transformation of water management from experience-based practices to a data-driven approach. Through measures such as reclaimed water reuse, wash-water concentration, and condensate recovery, the Company continues to advance water-saving technologies and high-efficiency recycling. Fresh water consumption in the pure water preparation process has been reduced to near “zero consumption.” The overall industrial water reuse rate exceeds 86%, while water withdrawal per unit of product has decreased by approximately 60% compared with 2023—significantly outperforming industry benchmarks. Huayou’s water resource utilization efficiency continues to lead the industry, fully demonstrating its strengths in green manufacturing and further reinforcing the confidence of international customers in the Company’s environmental compliance and sustainable development capabilities.
