Recently, at the 5th Carbon Neutrality Boao Conference hosted by China Energy Conservation Group in Boao, Hainan, two Huayou subsidiaries — Chengdu Bamo Technology Co., Ltd. and Quzhou Huayou Resource Recycling Technology Co., Ltd. — successfully defended the title of "First Prize of the 2025 China Energy Conservation Association (CECA) Innovation Award - Technological Progress Award for Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction (Carbon Neutrality Field)" with their solid technological innovation and outstanding low-carbon practices. This is a powerful demonstration of Huayou's advantages in the full industrial chain and its efforts to address industry pain points, with each achievement embodying the sweat and wisdom of Huayou people.
Chengdu Bamo: Creating a "Huayou Model" for Zero-Carbon Cathode Material Factories
As a core force in the group's cathode materials business, the Chengdu Bamo team has focused on the "systematic construction of zero-carbon cathode material factories" and innovatively proposed a full-lifecycle zero-carbon framework of "dual synergy and six drivers". By deeply integrating intelligent manufacturing and green manufacturing, it has built a full-process low-carbon system featuring "production line automation, equipment scaling-up, production greening, manufacturing intelligence, process shortening, and operation digitalization".
Chengdu Bamo has fully realized 100% clean energy supply, and continuously promoted product capacity improvement and energy-saving technology upgrades for core equipment. As a result, its production capacity has increased by 10%-20%, furnace oxygen consumption has decreased by 10%-20%, and energy consumption has dropped by 15%. In 2025, the average product carbon footprint decreased by over 14% year-on-year. Since completing the industry's first "zero-carbon factory" for cathode materials in 2021, it has passed the PAS 2060 carbon neutrality certification for four consecutive years. This achievement not only proves the reliability of its zero-carbon technologies but also makes the "Huayou Solution" a replicable green model for the industry!
Quzhou Resource Recycling: Decoding the "Lithium Resource Code" in Waste Battery Recycling
Focusing on the bottleneck problems in the field of waste lithium-ion battery recycling, the Quzhou Huayou team has dared to explore and innovate, developing the "key technology for prioritized lithium extraction from black powder of waste lithium-ion batteries", which solves the industry pain points of incomplete lithium recovery and complex processes in traditional technologies.
Upholding the Green Original Aspiration: Building Huayou's Low-Carbon Ambition Together
The group has always adhered to the layout of the "resource-material-recycling" full industrial chain, integrating low-carbon concepts into every link of production and operation, and defining a three-stage path of "carbon reduction - carbon lowering - deep decarbonization": initial decarbonization from 2021 to 2030, continuous decarbonization from 2031 to 2040, and deep decarbonization from 2041 to 2050.
