Delegation from Indonesian Ministry of Transmigration Training Program Visits Huayou for Inspection

On the afternoon of October 17, a delegation from the Indonesian Ministry of Transmigration’s officials training program visited Huayou’s headquarters. Yoyo Budianto, Advisor to the Minister of Transmigration, took part in the visit, and Wu Zhiwei, Counselor at the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia, accompanied the delegation. Xie Guoping, Vice Chairman and Vice President of Huayou Cobalt, received the delegation on behalf of the company.

The training program is hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia and organized by the Foreign Economic Cooperation Center of China’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. It focuses on in-depth exchanges in such areas as resettlement, industrial development and talent development.

At Huayou’s global exhibition hall, the delegation learned about the company’s development history, global industrial layout and green development practices. The visitors spoke highly of Huayou’s investment achievements and social responsibility work in Indonesia. They noted that Huayou, as a major Chinese enterprise deeply rooted in Indonesia,combines strong comprehensive strength, notable development advantages and a solid record of social responsibility, and has helped drive local industrial upgrading and talent development. The delegates hailed the company as a vivid example of mutually beneficial industrial cooperation between China and Indonesia, and also praised the joint master’s program in metallurgical engineering that Huayou runs with Indonesian partners, saying its results have been outstanding. They expressed the hope that Huayou will continue to create more jobs for Indonesian people, train more outstanding talent and support poverty reduction through its “global resources, global manufacturing, global market” strategy, a China-Indonesia community with a shared future

Since entering Indonesia in 2018, Huayou has adhered to its principle: “Wherever we invest, we must contribute to the local economy and society.” The company has been deeply involved in high-quality Belt and Road cooperation and upholds its philosophy of “cooperation and joint building for a win-win future.” While pursuing high-quality, sustainable growth, it has continued to advance talent localization and community development. Local employees now account for more than 80% of its workforce in Indonesia, and the company has created over 20,000 direct jobs. Going forward, Huayou will make the most of its integrated industrial and green development strengths to create jobs and improve livelihoods, explore new paths for coordinated development, and deliver more “small yet beautiful” landmark cooperation projects that support Indonesia’s economic and social development.
