On May 10, the 2026 China Brand Value Evaluation Report was officially released in Deqing, Zhejiang. Hosted by the China Council for Brand Development and the Brand Office of Xinhua News Agency, and organized by China Brandmagazine, the event saw Huayou Cobalt secure an outstanding brand value of 19.478 billion yuan and a brand strength index of 861, ranking 26th in the energy and chemical industry list—an upgrade of 2 places from last year. Its rising brand value underscores its status as an industry benchmark.

The release of the China Brand Value Evaluation Report, now in its 13th year, is a key initiative to build a China-specific brand value evaluation system, promote positive Chinese brand narratives, and support Chinese brands going global. Evaluations are conducted in accordance with international and national brand standards, adhering to the principles of "science, impartiality, transparency, and public recognition". This year, 1,063 brands participated, covering leading enterprises across most industries.
