On July 30, amid the rippling waves and thundering drums on the shore of Taihu Lake, the "United in Heart and Effort, Striving to Lead the Way" dragon boat-themed team-building event officially launched as an extension of Huayou Holding Group's 2026 Mid-Year Work Conference. On July 28–29, Huayou Cobalt successfully convened its 2026 Mid-Year Work Conference in Suzhou. The conference served as a comprehensive platform to review and critically assess the performance and shortcomings of the first half of the year, analyze and deliberate on responses to a severe and complex external landscape, clarify operational frameworks, set clear development objectives, and deploy key initiatives. By further aligning ideological consensus and consolidating institutional strength, the conference aimed to ensure a robust and successful start to the 15th Five-Year Plan period, laying a solid foundation for the full accomplishment of the annual targets. Recently, the China National Intellectual Property Administration unveiled the review results of the 26th China Patent Awards. Two core invention patents of Huayou Cobalt — Method for Enriching Valuable Metals from Sulfate Solutions Containing Valuable Metal Ions and Preparation Method and Application of Three-Dimensional Network Coated Ternary Materials — have been awarded the China Patent Excellence Award.

Recently, the Testing Center of Huafei Nickel & Cobalt (Indonesia) Co., Ltd. has successfully passed the rigorous assessment by the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) and officially obtained the CNAS Laboratory Accreditation Certificate. This accreditation marks that the testing capacity and quality management system of Huafei Testing Center have fully met international standards, representing a new milestone in standardized laboratory construction and technical capability upgrading.

The five-day 9th China-Eurasia Expo concluded successfully on June 29. As a key national-level platform for opening-up and industrial cooperation, this grand event gathered government and enterprise representatives as well as leading industrial enterprises from multiple countries. It has built a core bridge for economic and trade exchanges, technology sharing and joint industrial development, laying a broad cooperative foundation for cross-border industrial coordination and integrated regional economic and trade growth.

Recently, Huayou New Energy Technology (Quzhou) Co., Ltd. (“Quzhou New Energy”) was selected into the 2025 Excellent Carbon Productivity Cases, which was officially released at the Shanghai Carbon Neutrality Expo.

With brand-new heavy-duty portal cranes standing tall along the waterfront and operating at full capacity, the logistics access of the industrial park has achieved comprehensive upgrading. On May 22 local time, four 40-ton portal slewing cranes were officially commissioned at the IPK Terminal of Pomalaa Industrial Park (IPIP) developed by Huayou Cobalt in Indonesia. The launch marks full completion of civil construction works at IPK Terminal and ushers in a new phase of regular equipment operation. It delivers a leap forward in the port’s supporting capacity and logistics service capability, standing as a landmark breakthrough in the construction of Huayou’s overseas industrial park in Indonesia and laying solid logistics underpinnings for the company’s integrated full industrial chain layout abroad.

On May 23, outstanding young entrepreneur representatives from the China Young Entrepreneurs Association (CYEA) visited Huayou Holding Group for a study and exchange event. Song Zhiping, President of the China Listed Companies Association; Liu Gang, Secretary‑General of the China Young Entrepreneurs Association; Chen Xuehua, Chairman of Huayou Holding Group; and other attendees joined the session. Young entrepreneurs from across the country gathered in Tongxiang to explore innovation paths and discuss industrial development strategies. The exchange meeting was presided over by Chen Xiaolin, Vice Chairwoman of Huayou Holding Group.

On May 19 (Harare local time), Huayou Cobalt, the Harare Institute of Technology (HIT) of Zimbabwe, and Ningbo University of Technology gathered at the Harare Institute of Technology to formally sign a cooperation agreement, jointly witnessing the signing and unveiling ceremony of the China-Zimbabwe College of Engineering and Technology. This marks a key milestone for Huayou Cobalt and its partners in deepening collaboration and fostering development, as well as a landmark event for China and Zimbabwe in joining hands in vocational education. It injects new momentum into China–Africa integration of industry and education.

On May 21 (Zimbabwe time), Dr. Jorem Gambo, Special Advisor to the President of Zimbabwe and Head of the Government Project Supervision and Implementation Task Force, paid an official visit to Huayou Cobalt’s Zimbabwe Base for a dedicated inspection.

On May 15, the three-day CIBF 2026 drew to a close. As a global bellwether for the battery industry, this edition brought together 3,200 exhibitors and over 350,000 professional visitors, fostering in-depth discussions on technology, ecosystem and cooperation at the start of China’s 15th Five-Year Plan period.

On May 10, the 2026 China Brand Value Evaluation Report was officially released in Deqing, Zhejiang. Hosted by the China Council for Brand Development and the Brand Office of Xinhua News Agency, and organized by China Brand magazine, the event saw Huayou Cobalt secure an outstanding brand value of 19.478 billion yuan and a brand strength index of 861, ranking 26th in the energy and chemical industry list—an upgrade of 2 places from last year.
